A digital media tool that can tackle almost any job
Roxio Creator 2012 is a powerful digital media suite that combines pretty much everything you'll ever need to do with your media in one user-friendly and slick package.
The Roxio Creator interface is modern, clean, and very intuitive. It's divided into four main areas which give you access to all the suite’s tools for managing, sharing and recording media. Each one of these tools in Roxio Creator include a bunch of features of its own. If there is one aspect of Roxio Creator that cannot be criticized, it is the sheer breadth of options. If it's related to digital media and you can think of it, Roxio Creator is almost guaranteed to be able to help you achieve it.
Burning CDs, creating DVDs, making labels, designing slideshows, writing e-books, editing photos, creating digital copies of your old vinyl records and cassette tapes, and backing up data is only the tip of the Roxio Creator iceberg. Among the most interesting features in this new version is the video stabilizer, the possibility to download photos and videos from Facebook and the awesome tool to convert images and videos to 3D!
Unfortunately, all these amazing features come at a price, and in the case of Roxio Creator, it is quite a high one. The program takes ages to install, is very slow and sucks up colossal amounts of memory. It is very easy to use, and the centralization of features might appeal to users who are not comfortable with digital media tools, but there's an important thing to remember: very few users are likely to need ALL of the functions that Roxio Creator offers, especially if they are not technologically-savvy.
Roxio Creator is still a powerhouse, but for many users it will feel like overkill.

Roxio Creator 2102 and Vista 64 bit.
The program was downloaded from the ROXIO site. IT took over 2 1/2 hours each time I downloaded. The program will not work with the VISTA 64 bit machine I have and it caused some conflicts until I removed it. When contacting the ROXIO customer <taglink type=program country=en id=5385>service</taglink> people via e-mail they just consistently tell me to download again. No support or advice whatsoever. I have used ROXIO severla tomes in the past but can not recommend 2012.

I have always had good results with ROXIO products. But, this time I must say ROXIO has let me down.
Cons:
First; I downloaded this product straight from the ROXIO/DigitalRiver website. IT will not operate on my VISTA Ultimate 64 Bit system. After several retrys at loading I started getting a &quot;Microsoft Visual &quot;C&quot; Runtime Library Error&quot; with an accompanying black screen. After I removed the ROXIO Creator 2012 my computer started working normally again. Tried contacting the ROXIO customer support and that was a HUGE waste of time. Buyer beware on this one. More

Runtime Errors Galore.
In contrast to Ashampoo and Magix products this is a total disappointment. I have a high spec Toshiba XPSP3 laptop and could not get this to run without runtime errors after mutiple install attempts. I have never had this much trouble with a high priced package as this.

roxio 9: waste of space, time and money.
Purchased Roxio 9, had to get a specialist to download it; then discovered that it was only good for one application, and I had it (as it was being repaired my laptop) put on laptop despite having a good Roxio 7 on it, now I have a Roxio 9 and Roxio 7 I cannot use, so I have wasted my money, time for something I am unable to use. I originally purchased it for my new Desktop which has another terrible program Vista on it: as my Roxio 7 was not compatible: due to computer guy asking if I wanted it on desktop to upgrade my Roxio 7, although wanted it on my laptop: I now still have my new laptop with no Roxio on it. As a Senior who is not computer saavy, but learning, I realized a very expensive mistake. I cannot understand why if one purchases a software program and it is registered to them that they cannot use it on more than one computer anyway; and what happens if my laptop crashes, as it probably will being an older model..If any suggestions how to download more than once, would be welcome
